Should We Fear The Black Mamba?
Basketball fans another movie for you, Isn’t it such luck that after Los Angeles Lakers’ forward, Lamar Odom and wife, Khloe Kardashian had a reality television show coming comes shooting guard, Kobe Bryant’s movie. Lakers’ very own, Kobe Bryant will star in the latest Nike-produced movie, Black Mamba. Now, tell me that it is still not a good enough year starter for the team especially to these dudes.
Robert Rodriquez once quoted that “if you’re creative and technical, you’re unstoppable”. Isn’t it already evident after the hard hitting action movies he had directed such as Deperado, and Once Upon a Time in Mexico; and movies that were surely enjoyed by the whole family like Spy Kids from the first time it appeared on screen up until it was made to 3D, and Sharkboy and Lavagirl. It would be of no question that this latest movie he had directed, Black Mamba, will make it big on the big screen.
We’ve seen Robert Rodriguez and Bruce Willis teamed up together with such great produced movies, Four Rooms, Sin City and Planet Terror to name a few. I see no exception that Black Mamba would be an excuse for the two to make another big hit.
It’s a great idea for Nike to partner up with Robert Rodriguez, to go beyond the ordinary advertising schemes and bring it to the big screen to present Nike Zoom Kobe VI and True Colors, his own apparel line. I think this will be part 1 of a many great list of movie advertisements to be produced by Nike. It still is a great strategy to start campaigning about this on an All-Star break. They’ll surely strike anticipation for the people whose world revolves around sneakers.
