Samsung Galaxy Y Young is Now Part of Smart Netphone Edition
Samsung Galaxy Y, originally uploaded by ebarrun.Just days after Samsung Philippines released the Samsung Galaxy Y, Smart Communications introduce the Netphone edition of it. Technically it has the same specifications but with the Netphone app developed by Smart that makes the difference, running on Android operating system is open source so anyone can create their own apps.
The Netphone app is like the BBM service of Blackberry that has its own network or some sort of a server that connects everyone with the same app installed for free. Storage of numbers in phone book is on a global directory so anyone can find their friends and you don’t have to worry about losing it. Check out more about the Netphone here.
Smart also has a competitive price for existing customers, with the rewards point system you can get the Samsung Galaxy Y for only P4,990 or P5,990 for prepaid plan with free 1000 worth of load. I’m excited to visit any Smart Center for a hands on experience of this smartphone.

do a long press on the power button and activate the network data mode. its a quick switch to turn on and off the data services to avoid unwanted data charges from your network carrier.

hey ebarrun, i did what you said and thank God it doesn’t eat my load now, but i was wondering, with the network data mode off, can you still receive mms? if you cant and have to turn it on just to receive or send mms, how do you prevent data services like email or gmail from eating up your load?

ang jar files ay para sa mga java OS na phone. eto po ay android na so di mo na magagamit yung mga jar files. sa android market makakakuha nun.

warning samsung Y has no Flash. which means your only limited to browse mobile versions of websites. most websites doesn’t have a mobile version yet. or the mobile versions are really complicated.
