Happy 5th Anniversary Nuffnang Philippines

nuffnang5

Last night was the 5th Anniversary celebration of Nuffnang Philippines, we got an invite and joined the party at the Podium Mall in Ortigas. We are late for an hour because of the traffic in EDSA and made it at 8pm, where a lot of people is already at the Borough.

It was a party mode, everybody seems to be busy talking and drinking with a loud music. It took some time to get our drinks and having the vodka sprite sets my mood to party. Squid with popcorn is new to me but definitely worth a try. Raffles and giveaway was at stake, unfortunately we didn’t get any but got this great souvenir photograph in the poseandprint photobooth and I enjoyed our poses here.

I saw the Nuffnang guys again  like Trixie and Denise for the second time after the special screening of  The Social Network with great smile on their faces. The event also serves as our networking night where I saw and greet  Orlee Pasion, one of our Mozilla localization contributor, seeing again in another event is such a happy moment. The mezzanine is not that big but able to accommodate the bloggers and other guests. We also met a new guy from an IT group that  invited us for a speaking engagement every Sunday.

Thank you Nuffnang for inviting us in such a great event and hoping be part on future events.

Multi functional breathable clothing and sturdy shoes are recommended for hiking. Vietnamese look for clean and decent clothes. Tourists should also wear during a tour ofVietnam in hotels, banks and temple appropriate clothing. In temples, shoulders and knees should be covered, so you can avoid much cut tops or miniskirts. At the beach or nude bathing is “topless” unacceptable. In addition to the many-offered (night) markets a wide range of clothing.

Climate and Season
A trip toVietnam, especially in tourist areas yet little developed requires an accurate travel planning. Starting with the vaccinations to take care of you within weeks or months before the planned departure must offer the following comments on a coarse grid clues that can be helpful in travel planning and preparation and planning of travel routes.

Vietnam’s climate cannot be simply subsumed in a set. While for example in the mountains north of the country comes to frost and occasional snow fall, temperatures can reach in the south during the dry season to about 40 ° C degrees.Vietnamis characterized by a tropical monsoon climate. From May to September, the southeast monsoon determines the climate of the whole country brings mostly short, but very heavy rainfall. From October to April is the northeast monsoon. Something To Consider Before Buying A Computer

The Brads - Buying a Computer

Have you decided what computer platform you want to use?
The illustration will show you somehow to pick the best platform that will suit your taste, I think this would not just apply to those who wants to buy a new computer.

The most popular and widely used kind of computer in the planet is the Windows PC from Microsoft, that I’m currently using right now. Setting up a new Windows PC in the illustration is true with all the bloatware from the manufacturer, you don’t need it all. Reformatting and installing a fresh version of Windows will solve the problem, expect the increase in performance without the bloatware. By that time you can start working if the hardware can support your computing needs.

I haven’t  tried a Mac computer so I’m not sure about this, but I really wanted to have one in the future if I can afford it’s high prices. The things I know about this piece of machine is the quality of hardware that surely would last for a long time and the performance can handle critical computing needs. If I’ll be using this for video editing probably it needs more juices of RAM, in the illustration adding third party RAM is not necessary if the computing requirements is not that high.

Setting up a Linux PC in the illustration looks to be the easiest having only 3 steps buy a Linux laptop, start working and trim neckbeard. I don’t agree with this, choosing my favorite Linux distribution would be the first step which is missing in this illustration. Most of the time the Linux flavor installed is out of my preferred distribution so still it really needs to be reformatted, of course this is base on my on experience.

Hope this gave you something to consider before buying a computer, with all this choices you can settle to be the best. I find this the illustration to be funny in the way of comparing the 3 PC platform, indeed some might be true to others but not for me. if you find the comic small you see the full size image  also a big thanks to  Brad Colbow, the creator of this great illustration.

Experience Pho Hanoi Vietnamese Cuisine in Calamba

Vietnamese Cuisine

The thing that reminds me about Vietnam was the war with the United States of America during the 1970’s and I like watching all about it. I also want to know more about Vietnam’s culture and of course their cuisine. I tried one Vietnamese restaurant in Los Banos that was way back years and the closed shop or maybe transferred somewhere.

On my way home tonight I noticed a new restaurant in Halang, Calamba named Pho Hanoi, sounds Vietnamese with the name right? Yes! with a closer look at the sign, indeed it is. Only few customers are dining around 8pm, they just opened for business for about a week now according to one nice guy that seems to be the restaurant owner.

I took the pleasure to ask their bestseller and it’s also named Pho Hanoi, a white noodle soup in a large bowl that  for me is too big that I can’t eat all of it. It’s my first time to eat a Vietnamese noodle soup and find it very tasty with a twist of spices like the meat leaves, the white noodles is also new to me, softer than other I’ve tried. A red chili sauce and “patis”  will add to your own desired “timpla” I should say a must try. Here are some choices on their menu.

If you want to experience a different than the usual restaurant you may consider giving it a try without going to Manila or should say in Vietnam. I took the photos using a mobile phone so excuse the quality of this.

Photos of Iya Villania and Venus Raj on Set of ABS-CBN Umagang Kay Ganda

ABS-CBN Umagang Kay Ganda Studio Tour

I got the chance to take some photos on the set of the morning TV show Umagang kay Ganda of ABS-CBN yesterday. Being on the front row gave me a good view using the 105mm lens and with the studio lighting available, 1000 ISO is doing well. The 50mm lens doesn’t offer much flexibility in shooting even it can auto focus. I prefer using the 105mm.

A great photography experience with such a limited movement and of course using flash is prohibited in the studio. I’m satisfied with the results seeing the photos on a computer than the camera LCD although not really crisp images. Check more photos of Iya and Venus on my Flickr account for your verdict if I can be a celebrity photographer.
