Motivation for Updating a Blog

All right!

I don’t have a post yet since February…

Why?

Because I am too busy with other things…

Hahaha!

I’ve been convincing others to have their own blog and to blog regularly, while my own blog is lying empty with posts.

I’m having a hard time picking a theme for this blog and I’ve also been experimenting with the CSS and design. I got a new theme again and I will use this from now on so that I can focus on the posts. Well as other bloggers say “content is the king”. I will go through that path, leaving the blog design for a while.

I was also being motivated by Dustin and Gelo, or should I say that they’ve been threatening me that they won’t update their blogs unless I will make a quality post of mine.

So here it is guys…

I’ll be starting with a list:

  • Share something to my readers (if ever I will have one).
  • Practice my writing skill which I’m not really good at.
  • Upload a bunch of  photos sleeping in the hard drive.
  • A lot of things happened already that is worth posting.
  • Look up other bloggers that are successful now like Joell Lapitan.
  • Overcome my procrastination.

With all these, I guess it would provide me enogh motivation for a while. I am looking forward to where blogging will take me. I’m still doing my disclaimer page so I won’t get into any troubles someday.

How about you?

What motivates you to update your blog?

Got A New Nikon D3000 For The Lowest Price

Nikon D3000
Nikon D3000 Kit Set, originally uploaded by huluyue.

Finally, I got my own DSLR camera,it’s a new Nikon D3000 and I got it for the lowest price. An entry level camera just like D40 and D60, these are the models that I really wanted to buy. Unfortunately there were no stock available and they told me that those are already phased out. So I ended up with the D3000. Are you wondering where I bought it? You’re right! I got it from Hidalgo St., Quiapo, Manila, the photographer’s haven for cheap cameras and photo gears. Here’s what I got from the kit:

The contents of the box:

  • D3000 body
  • 18-55mm lens
  • EN-L9a battery
  • Battery charger
  • Camera neck strap
  • USB cable
  • CD-ROM with NX2 trial version

These are the FREE items I got as they said:

  • 4Gb SD card
  • Camera bag with a Nikon name on it.

Other items that I think are really needed for protecting the camera from dust and scratches:

  • LCD protector
  • UV filter

There’s a big difference with the prices, Nikon D3000 at Hidalgo costs 26k pesos while you can find it in the malls at 32k pesos. But there are a lot of tradeoffs when you buy at Hidalgo. It’s a long list and maybe I have to make another post for that.  Now I can start shooting for my blogs which is one of the reasons I bought a camera.
